Everything,
everything.
My cleanroom isn't very clean, but then again,
my Sidekick was was already busted before I opened it,
so I wasn't very concerned about dirt at the time (This
was my second Sidekick). The hardest part to disassemble
is definitely definitely the display, which I thoroughly
destroyed while I was taking everything apart. I think
if I had any idea what I was doing at the time, I
probably could have removed the display without tearing
the ribbon. Likewise, had I known what I was doing at
the time, I probably could have fixed the unit myself
without trading it in for a replacement with T-Mobile.
Apparently the antenna got detached from the
daughterboard (the aforementioned "NET5"
error), which probably would have been easy enough to
reattach since it's the first thing accessible to you
when you open it up. Then again, had I given up there, I
wouldn't have been able to check out the rest of the
Sidekick. And what fun would that be?
