Home Made: A Graphic Family Memoir with Recipes explores the creativity of four female Jewish Viennese ancestors, from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries. Framing these women’s stories in their historical context, the book will use graphic storytelling to show the ways in which these women gained strength from and survived by using the arts as a means of self-expression, economic survival, and cultural transmission.
