Jay Williams, Walcott-Bartlett Professor of Religious Studies, Ret.
Academic web sites are usually just that, very academic and, in a way, this one is too. At least there are included here my curriculum vitae and an introduction to my scholarly interests and publications. I have also included, however, indications of the great variety of interests I have pursued both inside and outside the classroom. If you wish, click on the various sections to see what some of my interests are. The section on travel, for instance, contains many pictures!
On the left are topics related to my life and career. There are also topics that represent other interests in my life that may sometimes relate to, but extend far beyond, academia. I hope that all this suggests what a great opportunity Hamilton College has given to me and how really engrossing and satisfying the academic world can be.
